Mafdet, also known as Maftet or Mefdet, is the earliest Egyptian feline goddess, predating Bastet and Sekhmet. Mafdet appears in the Egyptian pantheon as early as the first Dynasty; whereas Bastet is second Dynasty. She is depicted as a woman with the head of a cheetah, sometimes she wears the headdress of snakes or braids with scopion tails hanging off the ends like beads. You can also find her as a lynx or leopard or a felinie running up the executioners staff. She is the protector of the Pharoh and will protect and guard those dear to her.
Maftet is the primordial goddess of justice and judgment. Invoke Mafdet for SWIFT justice, judgement and protection. She will immediately assist with wounding of emotions or physical wounds which won’t heal.
